CASCOS DE GUAYABA, Guava Shells a delicious quick Cuban sweet treat. Guava has to be the number one fruit for Cubans.One of the best ways to have it is with cream cheese. This particular dessert is actually good for you, it is fruit and low-fat cream cheese that’s it, nothing else. It is also one of the fastest desserts you will ever make.
- 1 can Cascos de Guayaba (guava shells)
- 1 package cream cheese, low-fat
Remove the guava from can and drain in a colander. Set syrup aside.
Spoon 1-teaspoon of cream cheese into each guava shell. Drizzle with the left over syrup, just a little and enjoy.
Makes 4-6 servings.
