I love whole wheat bread and better yet, whole wheat beer bread, especially when it comes right out of the oven. It doesn’t last around my house very long. It is not something I make on a regular bases, but this is a simple quick bread you can make any time in the week.
- 3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 12 oz. beer
- 1 egg, beaten
- Pre-heat oven 375*F
- Place all in dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
- Pour and mix the beer into the dry ingredients.
- Brush the bread with egg wash.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
